This SW project focuses on the clean heating programs implemented in northern provinces in China since 2017. This research topic is developed in the field of just transition. By conducting the fieldwork in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Provinces, this project analyzes the diverse impact of the clean heating programs on rural households. The policy implications of this project are also worth highlighting as it provides crucial lessons for future energy transition programs in developing countries.
