“As an important part of the autonomous driving field, defog algorithm is a valuable topic. Since a hazy image in fog weather conditions is formed by environmental light, the atmospheric scattering model, one of the most important physical models used in the defogging process, is introduced in detail. In addition to the atmospheric scattering model, we review the defog algorithms and present an attempt to improve the detection performance of images captured in fog weather conditions. For the literature review, we summarize the classification of defog algorithms based on different types, and review four defog algorithms. The Dark Channel Prior algorithm and the Histogram Equalization algorithm are mainly reviewed. We also discuss the two most commonly used data sets and how they are generated. For the attempt, we provide the specific process and demonstrate the effectiveness of our method through the graph results. In addition, we find two limitations of our method and propose one potential solution to the limitations. We hope that can be realized in future work.” |
