| As the most common form of dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease is receiving growing public attention in recent decades and is becoming a popular topic in films and animation. Existing works have demonstrated fine production techniques and creative ways of audio-visual storytelling. However, the lack of a family-oriented perspective and inadequate authentic observation of the symptoms in previous works leaves a vacuum in public awareness of the disease. By combining traditional narrative structures and experimenting with new ways of animation storytelling, the project produced an experimental animation short film, Meimei, that raises public awareness of this issue from new perspectives. |
