In light of the policymaking blueprint, Healthy China 2030 (健康中国) announced in 2016 by President Xi Jinping to commence a nationwide pursuit of public health and healthcare reform through a strategic targets and health objectives, this exploratory project employs sociological perspectives to evaluate the policymaking campaign; furthermore, it aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the policymaking blueprint while providing a comprehensive interpretation of the original campaign. It employs the usage of sociological perspectives on Liquid Modernity, Guerilla Policymaking Styles, and Imagined Futures to engage in a discussion of the policymaking techniques of Healthy China 2030, and to interpret a variety of social components of public health, such as “E-Health” and “Physical Education”. Ultimately, Healthy China 2030 is deemed to be a unique campaign due to its flexible approach to healthcare policymaking and its potential applications in neighboring spheres of social life.
