This systematic review, adhering to the PRISMA guidance, evaluates the effects of intermittent fasting on breast cancer survivors and patients undergoing treatment, through an analysis of nine peer-reviewed articles. The findings reveal that intermittent fasting, encompassing Time Restricted Eating, Fasting-Mimicking Diet, and Short-Term Fasting, significantly enhances the quality of life and optimizes metabolic, inflammatory, endocrine, and hematologic parameters, alongside improving mental health outcomes. However, adverse effects were noted in three of the studies, underscoring the need for cautious implementation. These results highlight the potential of intermittent fasting as a complementary strategy in the management and recovery process of breast cancer, warranting further research to fully understand its benefits and risks.
