In this comprehensive systematic review, our focus is on elucidating the landscape of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in the Chinese population, with an emphasis on identifying crucial risk factors and potential preventive measures. The meticulous literature search, spanning from September 2023 to February 2024, culminated in the inclusion of 15 pertinent studies that encompass various study types, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of this multifaceted subject. Employing the STROBE checklist and leveraging the Covidence platform for meticulous evaluation, we have rigorously assessed the methodological quality of each study. The synthesized findings reveal a nuanced interplay of diverse risk factors influencing H. pylori prevalence across different demographics. Lifestyle choices, socioeconomic factors, and dietary habits emerge as pivotal contributors to infection dynamics. This systematic review not only consolidates existing knowledge but also offers valuable insights for targeted public health interventions. The intricate understanding gained from this synthesis serves as a robust foundation for informed decision-making and strategic planning to mitigate the impact of H. pylori in the Chinese population. |
