Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that is a mental illness characterized by abnormal social skills, impairment of communication skills, and stereotyped behaviors, interests, and activities. Previous studies have shown that most parents of autistic children go through chronic stress of considerable intensity, while insufficient attention has been paid to them. Therefore, this project aims to conduct a literature review to systematically identify and summarize existing research on the effectiveness of current interventions in reducing the stress and pressure of parents who raise autistic children mentally and financially. In addition, this passage also offers feasible proposals for government and non-government sectors to go into action and provide support to these parents.
