This paper examines the content and user participation in online feminist discussions in China. While previous studies focus on various categories of Chinese online feminism, limited attention has been given to user participation and interaction. This study employs quantitative research methods, including sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and regression, analyzing 2235 Weibo posts from January 2022 to June 2023. The finding suggests that the public tends to participate in news-related feminist discussions, especially those negative incidents and events related to gender concepts. Moreover, users interact more frequently with those posts that convey negative emotions and less cognitive process.
