| This project aims to provide an exhaustive analysis of BYD Company Limited’s technological advancements in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, emphasizing the innovations in power batteries, electric motors, and vehicle electronics outlined in the company’s patent applications. The research methods include patent analysis and literature review. Specifically, it utilizes a rich dataset from the TianYanCha Patent Database and deploys advanced methods in keyword searching, semantic analysis, and natural language processing. The project then quantifies BYD’s inventive endeavors, mapping its R&D journey through a statistical lens from 1990 to 2023, underscoring a commitment to incessant innovation in the EV landscape. The findings are intended to offer stakeholders insight into BYD’s R&D narrative, illuminating the company’s dedication to technological leadership and providing an anticipatory compass for future developments within the EV industry. |
