My Signature Work project is a literature review encompassing 31 studies, journal articles, and papers on the topic of the human gut microbiome and its interactions in human nutrition, obesity, and eating disorders. Throughout this literature review, I characterize the human gut microbiome and explore how it affects personal nutrition. I also discuss obesity and eating disorders, and investigate possible therapies for these diseases that take advantage of their interactions with the gut microbiome.
