This project is a written thesis that conducts an interdisciplinary study between philosophy and psychology from a linguistic perspective. The specific focus is on the philosophical implication of Wittgenstein’s theory of language on psychotherapy. It mainly provides an overview of Wittgenstein’s theoretical framework, the application of his account on psychopathology, the role of language in various psychotherapy practices, and how Wittgenstein’s idea can inform therapeutic practice.
