Signature Work Project Overview

In the project, we combine the knowledge of math, physics and computer science together to study light-matter coupling problem. We first encode the Hamiltonian matrix via the quantum language, Qutip. Then, we study the change of system energy represented by the eigenvalue related to the ground state of the Hamiltonian matrix when tuning different parameters. We further determine the influence of different parameters on Hamiltonian system. Moreover, during the measurement of eigenvalues, we apply the approximation method, by adjusting the size of Hamiltonian matrix, to save the computation cost. We next make further innovative improvements by exploring the numerical relationship between the light-matter coupling constant and corresponding size of Hamiltonian matrix with more accurate approximation. Based on the exploration result, we finally apply linear regression to predict corresponding size of Hamiltonian matrix with better approximation given the value of light-matter coupling constant.
