The word deepfake is a combination of the word “deep learning” and “fake.” It primarily relates to media content created by generative adversarial networks. It is mostly used to generate or manipulate human imagery. Nowadays, racial discrimination is a hotly debated issue that occasionally causes social conflicts between different groups. The cooperative project brings a new integrated approach to analyzing potential racial discrimination towards anchors in the news industry using Deepfake technologies. This project aims to select the most appropriate deepfake algorithm to produce face-swapping videos among news anchors from different races and then utilize deepfake detection methods to evaluate and compare the generated videos’ quality. |
