About

As a Biophysics major, thinking like a physicist about lives and nature, I enjoy the beauty of biology and physics.

Signature Work Project Overview

My passion for interdisciplinary sciences grows and shines at DKU. As a Biophysics major, I enjoy the beauty of physics and biology. Reason? The simplicity versus the complexity. Thinking like a physicist about lives and nature is a super cool idea with a lot of puzzling questions waiting to be discovered and answered.

For my Signature Work, I did something DKU had no record of (probably true for all in our Class), namely microfluidics. The journey began with a two-week study at an external lab learning the basics of this technology. Returning to DKU, I learned to build an integrated platform for long-time observation of how algae grew and reproduced in tiny chambers. As a team-based project, it is the result of multiple collaborations and extensive support given by my mentors and friends.

Looking forward, I plan to study cellular and sub-cellular biophysics. It is exciting to dive into the ocean of cell mechanics from a multidisciplinary point of view.
