Facial structures such as the breadth of face and mouth, the flatness of noses, and the pupil distance would reflect much information about the healthiness of a person.
Nowadays with the development of technology, RGBD cameras are more and more common. Many researchers rely on RGBD cameras to analyze the detail of the object. In this project, Huangrui Chu makes use of the Azure Kinect to catch the color information and depth information from different angles. From the RGBD information, Huangrui Chu does a 3D reconstruction of the face to generate a 3D point cloud.
From the 3D point cloud, many facial structures could be analyzed using algorithms.
